After studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston with the great Dino Govoni, I moved to New York and worked several apprenticeships. It was years of learning the art of repair from master woodwind technicians and instrument builders Jeffrey Weissman, Christopher McKenna, Roberto Romeo, Melanie Wong, Luke Penella, plus a few lessons from Lillian Burkart.
My dad’s beautiful voice and classical guitar playing has proven to be a lasting inspiration; as my aim is to repair woodwinds to their most resonant “singing” condition. Play-testing after repairs is a must, because ♫ It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t repaired to sing! ♫
